Membership of the Association may be extended to a courier company provided:
a) It is agreed by the existing members operating in the area in which the applicant is located that a further member would be advantageous to the Association and not disadvantageous to themselves. Further that the National Committee upheld the decision.
b) That no member of the Association could offer any sound reason for withholding membership.
c) That the applicant has been trading for more than 2 years, and would be prepared to have their premises and vehicles inspected, their management interviewed, their work methods and finances investigated by a representative of the Association and generally to provide any information required that may demonstrate their ability to further the aims of the Association. Information that is in any way likely to compromise an applicant's trading position will not be sought. All information given will be treated in strictest confidence as privileged information.
d) That they are willing to abide by the Constitution and Rules of the Association and promote at every opportunity, the Aims of the Association.
e) That if elected to membership they may at anytime have such membership withdrawn if it is decided by the National Executive that any action taken by the member is in breach of the Constitution or Rules of the Association or it's Code of Practice or is in any way likely to bring the Association into disrepute.
f) That the members meets the criteria and conditions of the working instruction as decided and reviewed by the National Committee.
